The World’s Quirkiest Metropolis in Phil Munro Tokyo Photography

Philip Munro Tokyo photography may occasionally look like photorealistic paintings, but, in actuality, it’s just the work of a highly skilled visual artist. Not only skilled, but also sensitive and with an eye for the most interesting details and corners of the city. Munro’s pictures of the quirky, fascinating metropolis with over nine million inhabitants in western Japan showcases the city at its best, with its Transformers robot statues, as well as its more traditional areas. Says the photographer, “This is the Tokyo that I have seen over the years, always something new to find in this massive metropolis, whether it’s a huge gundam or some tiny alley, old and new!” Phil Munro has been based in Tokyo for a while now, where he is pursuing his career of 9+ years as an Art Director. He is experienced in multi-disciplinary design and has worked for major international brands such in the American, European and APAC markets.
